Slip casting

Ceramic artist Richard Notkin demonstrates slip casting.

Slip casting is a technique where a negative mold is filled with a slip (a liquid suspension of clay and other materials in water). The capillary action of the mold removes the water from the slip, until a cast is formed on the mold surface.
