Evan Chambers
Evan Chambers is an artist who creates functional casted metal works that incorporate glass, stone, and ceramic. Chambers is known for his non-traditional approach to metal and glass as he consistently explores and manipulates materials to incorporate into his craft. His work ranges from sculptural lighting, silver luster glass lighting, art nouveau vessels, vases, whimsical creatures, and other objects.
Chambers studied at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he learned glass blowing under George Jercich and metalsmithing under Clarissa Hewitt. During his summers, Chambers worked with glassblower and metalworker Fred Cresswell who taught him to craft art nouveau glass and work with machinery. Chambers additionally worked with glass artists Andy Paiko and Ken Peterson. Since 2009, Chambers has lived and worked in a studio in Los Angeles.
