Shana Kroiz
Shana Kroiz, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, creates meticulously crafted wearable jewelry art, each piece designed to express the unique body and nature of the wearer. An experimental enamelist and metal worker, Kroiz studied at Parsons School of Design and Townson State University. Having taught at the Maryland Institute College of Art since 1991, she was director and founder of the MICA Jewelry Center, where she continues to serve.
Kroiz’s jewelry explores the human body, celebrating traditional perspectives in a contemporary medium. Playful organic forms and rich colors are displayed in her one of a kind pieces, which are designed to be worn, using the body as means of presentation. She continues to travel, exhibit and educate across the country on the fine art of jewelry and integrity of the craft.
