Re-Cap: Veterans History Project Workshop at the Center

Participants at today’s Veterans History Project (VHP) Workshop learned about the significance of recording oral histories and how to prepare archival materials for the Library of Congress. Luisa Del Giudice, PhD, made a strong case for the importance of revealing hidden histories and “spoken memories,” through such techniques as oral history projects. The audience was full of questions as Del Giudice led a discussion about interview techniques, formatting archival materials, and offered guidelines for submitting documents to the U.S. Library of Congress and the American Folklife Center.
