CONCERT: Rumori with Pauline Lay + Ang Wilson

Craft in America is once again presenting live music at the Craft in America Center with a series of concerts starting on July 2nd.

Rumori is the cellist and producer Jason Adams’ exercise in machine-mediated musical performance. Rumori engages the expressive musicality of the cello with an electronic musician’s focus on space, timbre, and texture. In counterpoint to Adams’ sinuous cello playing is angular, frenetic electronic percussion.

Using minimal and intentional affecting of violin, amp, feedback, flute, and synth; Ang & Pauline investigate modes of perception and the impact of uncertain space. Their improvisational work together often encompasses unspoken connection and cues from their shared environment.
