Talk: Victor DiNovi on The Artisanal Life

Join us for a conversation with Victor DiNovi, woodworker and former officer in the Army Corps of Engineers. DiNovi will present his work and speak to the strategies, techniques and background for his practice.
After serving with the military in Vietnam, DiNovi moved to California in 1971 to pursue a life as a woodworker and cabinetmaker. DiNovi investigates “symbols of tradition and anti-tradition” and seeks to create “useful, practical objects that evoke multi-level responses.” DiNovi lives in Santa Barbara, CA and his work has been commissioned and exhibited across the United States and Internationally. www.victordinovi.com
