Jazz pianist/vocalist Amy Bormet and bassist/vocalist Maggie Hasspacher combine powers next weekend to perform a set of soulful indie originals and to mark the release of Hasspacher’s new solo album, We Shall Overcome.

Mentioned in the LA Times as singing with “particular charm,” Hasspacher will sing select songs from her new EP along with Bormet and an album guest-artist, Terry De Castro. Amy Bormet will give a sneak preview of songs to be featured at her self-created and self-run festival in DC the next week, the Washington Women in Jazz Festival.
