Teresa Sullivan, Advice, 2013
Teresa Sullivan was trained by Joyce J. Scott, using the peyote-stitch and other stitches from across the world to create figural works with beads. Sullivan uses the format to play with dichotomies, in this piece a literal angel and devil who are detachable.
“I use ancient weaving techniques to transform tiny, delicate glass beads into bold, self supporting artworks.” -TS
