Elena Netherby, Vessel, 1960s

Netherby, who studied at Mills with F. Carlton Ball starting in 1939, co-founded the Mills College Ceramics Guild. She is known for perfecting high-fire reduction glazes, such as the sang-de-boeuf glaze, of which this is a particularly large example.
